Margaret Golson

Born and raised on the May River in Bluffton South Carolina, Margaret grew up appreciating the natural environment of her Low country home. From the start she was surrounded by her mother’s collection of all things great and small. Creativity was nurtured from the beginning. Margaret toyed around with sculpture and other mediums throughout her youth and college. It was not until 2006 when she took up painting as a daily ritual. She found it a release from the stressful family business of running a restaurant. As a Certified Sommelier and mother, painting is a space all her own where she enjoys capturing the character of animals with a focus on sea life, as well as beauty of the Low country landscape. Acrylic is her chosen medium. Her belief is that art should be accessible to everyone, and she strives to maintain an affordable price point to achieve just that.
